It has been a busy few hours at the Rhondda Heritage Park, Trehafod as World of Words led a family literacy session.
We did a themed wordsearch, before we moved on to listing an alphabet of terrifying terms. From there it was on to a reading of the WOW penned ‘Which Witch’ story and the children then had to finish off this tale of terror with their own ideas. From there it was on to a more light hearted section of spooky jokes before we finished off with some frightening facts and fiction.
A pile of goodies were then handed out to our young audience included activities, rulers, bookmarks, plus writing and colouring exercises.
Another new venue for World of Words and another credit on what was a frightening and funny Friday morning. Now it is time to read a boo-k!
