Claire Fayers has made several successful visits to World of Words – WOW and at another presentation at Cwmclydach Primary School she scored a further hit.
Claire is an acclaimed author and she engaged the Year 5 and 6 children in a tale about a Welsh goblin named Cynon. The interactive union then moved on to the youngsters creating their own literacy and art led goblin tales – and imagination was in abundance. Claire was impressed by the creativity and stated her desire to return for a future visit.
Well done all – and the WOW groups had a session about the reasons we read and the importance of literacy in our lives.
All in all it was an amazing afternoon – and it is a big thanks to Claire who had made a long journey from Abergavenny.
