It was guest number 40 that World of Words has introduced to [Ton Pentre Junior School and the majority of those have been in relatively recent times of our 13 years working at this caring, sharing educational base.
Our esteemed visitors were talented wordsmith Claire Fayers (www.clairefayers.com) and it was a quick return from Jayne Coleman of Storyville Books. Claire entertained years 3/4:and then 5/6 as every child in the school benefited from the presentations.
The works of this wondrous Welsh writer were explored and the children were invited to do some acting and also participate in a Q & A format. An exciting afternoon flew by and there were a lot of happy faces as the audience were absorbed in the adventures of the acclaimed author.
It was yet another success for World of Words and it is a big thanks to Claire Fayers and Jayne of Storyville for their assistance to the call of World of Words – WOW to promote literacy and well-being.
